Summer Bible Study With Good Morning Girls (Psalm 19)

     Hey y'all! Our reading for today is Psalm chapter 19. I will be using the SOAK bible study method from Courtney at Women Living Well. Now lets grab our bibles and get into God's word together!

Psalm 19

S - The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
 
² Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.

³ There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

⁴ Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,

⁵ Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.

⁶ His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

⁷ The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.

⁸ The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.

⁹ The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.

¹⁰ More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

¹¹ Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

¹² Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.

¹³ Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.

¹⁴ Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

O - David speaks about the wonder of Gods glory being evident in His creation. He then describes seven aspects of God's word and how valuable the word of God is. He expresses his desire to have a clean heart. Lastly, he turns to God in surrender and prayer.

A - This chapter reminds me of the glory of God. It helps me see that I should continuously strive to diligently surrender to God daily.

K -Dear God, thank You for Your magnificent creation and awesome word. I ask that You would help me to always search my heart so that I can be in complete surrender to Your will. -Amen

      I have found so many interesting things to think about by reading through the book of Psalms so far and today is no different. As I read in this chapter about Davids reflection on the glory of God, I found myself feeling amazed. Verse fourteen stuck out to me the most in this passage. In this verse, David prays about surrendering his words and thoughts to the Lord. David knew how important it was to guard his words and heart. He chose to make a conscious effort to surrender and lean on God's redeeming strength.

     This passage reminds me of the importance of words and the condition of the heart. Not only do our actions need to align with Gods will, but also our words. The desires of out hearts should be pure and pleasing to the Lord. We should strive for making all areas of our lives acceptable in the eyes of the Savior. We need to remember to give these areas over to God daily and ask for the strength to do so. I am learning to lean on God for the things I am not able to do alone. God is teaching me how to surrender diligently to Him in prayer each day.

     Overall, today's reading helped me to see the importance of living a surrendered life and I pray it did for you as well.      The contents of the Sunshine UPBOX came in a sturdy orange box with the brand name and encouraging words printed on the front. The contents were wrapped beautifully and secured with a sticker that displayed a stunning theme image. The items were arranged in the box so that everything was protected during transit. Everything was brand new and in original packaging. The care put into preparing the shipment was obvious and much appreciated. I was also very impressed with the quick shipment time!

     The Sunshine UPBOX includes two informational cards. The first card explains the overall theme of the box, the theme verse, and information about the UPWORDS company. The particular box I received was centered around the theme of living in the sunshine. The theme verse for this months box is Ecclesiastes 11:7. Every item in the box related back to this theme beautifully. The second card is filled with information about all of the artisans who created the included items. I really enjoyed learning more about the idea behind the box and the companies who crafted the items.

     The box includes a business card, two pack of mini encouragement cards, and two envelopes. The business card displays all of the useful contact information for the UPWORDS company. The awesome encouragement cards feature a nice graphic on one side and the scripture Ecclesiastes 11:7 along with blank space to write on the other side. These cards are perfect for offering on the go encouragement. I love writing quick little notes and passing these out to help brighten someones day!

    I was so thrilled to receive this pink lemonade shave whip. The scent is absolutely wonderful and the texture is extremely decadent. This is a cruelty free product, and it is made from all natural ingredients. I really love that this subscription introduces me to new natural brands!

     This sunshine state hand and body cream was included in the box I received. It is delicately scented with notes of juicy citrus fruits and feels very luxurious. The ingredients in the product are all natural. I think that this would be a great thoughtful gift for a friend paired with one of the included encouragement cards!

     The box I received included this adorable little soy candle. The candle is packaged beautifully and adorned with a little seashell. It is deliciously scented with notes of coconut and sweet creme. This would be a great candle to wake up with and begin your summer morning devotional time!

     The box I received included this charming silver and gold beaded bracelet. This unique bracelet utilizes the morse code system to display messages through the use of beads. The message encoded on this particular bracelet is the word shine. This serves as the perfect reminder to shine the light of Gods love for everyone to see!

      I received this trendy black and silver hair tie in the box as well. It displays cute little images of seashells and starfish. This can also be worn as a bracelet. It was great to get such a practical item I will use so often. This is such a perfect summer item!

     The box I received included this playful vinyl decal. The decal displays the phrase "Live in the sunshine" printed in a bright sunny hue. This is a great versatile item that you can use in numerous ways. I am going to apply mine on a tumbler and gift it to a friend to help brighten her day!

     The box I received included this black and white zipper pouch. The pouch displays the inspirational phrase "This day glimmer and shimmer like the diamond that you are." This is a good everyday reminder that you are special and more precious to God than jewels!

      The box I received also included this lovely black and white magnet. The magnet displays an inspirational quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson in a cursive script. This serves as a great daily reminder to live every day to the fullest and appreciate the gifts God has given us!

     Last but not least, I received this two pack of beautifully designed scripture cards. One of the cards had Philippians 4:13 printed on it. The other card had Proverbs 3:5-6 printed on it. These cards are the perfect size to take on the go and reflect on during quiet moments throughout your day!

     This inspirational piece of home decor was included in the box I received. It is a small painted wooden block displaying the word faith. This is a gorgeous piece with a modern yet shabby chic influence. I love that they included a piece that allows you to put your faith on display in your home.

     This awesome journal was included in the box I received. The cover displays a cute floral pattern with the words dig deep. The pages of the journal feature sections for gratitude, scripture, reflection, and prayer. This is a wonderful tool for engaging in a deeper quiet time with God.

     This beautiful necklace from All Seven Sisters Jewelry was included in the box I received. The necklace pendant displayed a delicate floral pattern and the word joy.The necklace came in a little drawstring bag that was adorned with an adorable bird print. It was a delightful surprise to receive this piece of jewelry.

     The box I received included this set of two cards with envelopes from Petunia Diaries. The front of the cards displayed a lovely image of a sunflower with the scripture Jeremiah 17:7. These cards would serve as great encouragements to friends during times of struggle.

     The book If Jesus Lived Inside My Heart by Jill Roman Lord was included in the box I received. It is a board book filled with numerous adorable illustrations. This book shows children how God can work through them everyday. This was a great conversation starter for my little ones. We were able to talk about how we should and should not act in the various situations shown in the book. My seven year old especially enjoyed this book. I would recommend this book to anyone with children.

     The book Little One, God Made You Special by Amy Warren Hilliker was included in the box I received. It is a board book filled with cute animal themed illustrations. This book shows children how God made them unique. This was a quick and sweet read for my little ones. We were able to talk about how we were all made uniquely and in God's image. My four year old especially enjoyed this book. I would recommend this book to anyone with little children.

     The book I Prayed For You by Jean Fischer was included in the box I received. It is a board book filled with many heart warming illustrations. This book shows children how God has designed prayer and love to be shared between a parent and child. This was a beautiful story that I was happy to read for my little ones. We were able to talk about how important prayer is. I especially enjoyed this book. I would recommend this book to mothers of little ones.

     The box I received included this "I can't contain my love for Jesus" sign craft kit. The kit included four foam pieces and a string. This craft was well suited to small children and easy for them to complete. My little ones can never get enough craft time so they loved this project.

     The box I received included this Bible story themed coloring book and crayon set. The coloring book included eight pages with scripture references to well known Bible stories. The crayons were a set of six. They were also oversized so they were perfect for little hands. They were surprisingly good quality and produced well pigmented color. These items serve as fun and awesome little introductions to the Bible.

  
     Last but not least, I received these two frog flipper toys in the box. They also displayed the clever phrase "Jump for Jesus." This was my youngest child's favorite thing in the box. It was nice to get a little extra surprise sure to be enjoyed by all children.
